The attractive rural village of Ipstones lies on the western fringes of the Peak District in lovely Moorland Countryside, between the market towns of Leek and Ashbourne. The village offers a post office, village shop and pubs serving food. The surrounding countryside is excellent for walking with miles of woodland trails and moorland hikes to enjoy. The limestone Churnet Valley is on the doorstep and The Manifold Trail is closeby. There is easy access to many of the area's attractions including Dovedale. A great touring base for all the Peak District - and Alton Towers is just a 10 minute drive away.

The Property: The Creamery

Ipstones 2 miles. A delightful stone built, semi-detached cottage, part of a thoughtful conversion of an old Dairy, set in the rural hamlet of Bottomhouse within the parish of Ipstones. The tastefully decorated property makes a charming holiday home, with exposed beams and a split stable door adding to the relaxing atmosphere. A large courtyard area to the front, and an enclosed garden with open views make this cottage great for relaxing. Ideally placed for exploring the attractions of the surrounding area, including the spectacular Peak District National Park and close to the Manifold Valley, Tissington Trail and the steam trains at Churnet Valley. Note: The Creamery adjoins Bottomhouse Barn (2586) and The Dairy (1098) and together they can accommodate up to 23 people.

Accommodation

One double (4ft) with additional single bed with low headroom. Ground floor shower room with shower cubicle, basin & WC. Modern, well equipped fitted kitchen adjoining spacious sitting room with dining area and sofa bed. Shared courtyard with patio area.

Amenities

Heating from electric storage heaters throughout. Combination microwave oven, electric hob, fridge, colour TV, video, radio, stereo/CD player etc. Washer/dryer in barn across courtyard. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot & highchair available. Shared use of courtyard with patio & furniture, small enclosed garden. Ample off road parking. Sorry, no smoking. Sorry no pets. Shop approx 2 miles, several pubs/hostelries within 1.5 miles. Note: Xmas & New Year only available as group booking with Ref 1098 and 1099 to accommodate 23 for the set price of £2200.

I liked the area in which it was situated. It was close to a lot of little towns and we didn't have to travel far to get to Alton Towers and Drayton Manor. The owners were very helpful. I would definitely go back there again and recommend it to my friends and family.

A well designed conversion. Small but everything you needed to hand. Owners were very friendly and gave useful local information. The welcome pack of groceries was much appreciated.

The local pubs were generally acceptable in terms of food and hygiene, and the landlord and his family were very kind to give us a warm welcome. There is lots to do in terms of entertainment which caters not only for teenagers, but also for toddlers. I will certainly recommend this to anyone with family.
