Mrs Wilson is lovely and she left a bottle of wine, milk and bread in the kitchen for us and then on the sat came there with freshly baked fruit scones and home made jam YUM.

The kitchen was fantastically well equipped, the setting was lovely and the owner couldn't have been friendlier. It far exceeded my expectations from other cottages we have rented in the past.

Lovely area, lovely situation. Owner was the most welcoming we have ever had (and we've been on a lot of cottage holidays). It wasn't just the bottle of wine in the fridge or the loaf of bread and butter, but that the owner then made us a batch of homemade scones and brought them round fresh from the oven. This aside we were made to feel really welcome.

A fantastic reception from the owner, the home-baked teabread was particularly welcome as were the milk, bread and butter that were there on arrival. A great base for some good walks.
